Overview
What is Evlat?
Evlat is a free macOS Apple silicon utility: a thin strip on the edge of your screen that shows which coding agent is waiting, working, or done—and one click jumps you back to the right terminal or editor (iTerm2, Warp, Ghostty, Terminal, VS Code, Cursor, tmux, Herdr, and more). Also wraps long jobs with `evlat watch` so builds/tests keep a progress ring while you context-switch. Source on GitHub; no special permissions claimed.
Good for
- Mac users juggling Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and similar agents
- Developers who lose track of which pane needs approval
- Anyone running long builds who wants a glanceable status strip
Watch out for
- macOS 14+ Apple silicon only
- Agent detection coverage varies by tool—check the Works with table
- Does not replace the agents themselves; it only surfaces status
