The three checks every tool passes before it is listed on aidirecto, and what happens after.
01 — The crawler reads the live site
We fetch the homepage and pricing page, take a screenshot, extract plans, platforms and social links. Nothing is copied from the maker's submission form without being seen on the site.
02 — An editor approves it
A person confirms the product works, writes the summary, the "good for" and "watch out for" notes, and assigns categories from a fixed list. Tools outside the listing policy are rejected here.
03 — Re-checked every week
The crawler returns at least weekly. If the site is down, the listing is flagged; after 14 days it is marked discontinued. If a price changes, the change is written to the tool's change log with the old and new values.
What "Verified" means on a page
The stamp shows the date of the last successful check. Pricing marked verified matched the pricing page on that date. Traffic figures are third-party estimates and are labelled as such.
